Another day, another Pensacola-area football player has decided where he’ll compete at the next level.

Emory Williams is the latest prospect to reveal his future home.

Following an official visit to Coral Gables this past weekend, the Milton rising senior quarterback announced Monday on his Twitter account that he has committed to the University of Miami-Florida.

He becomes the third area athlete within an eight-day span to decide where he’ll take his talents. Pine Forest defensive lineman Elijah Douglas committed to Georgia Tech on June 12. One week later, a fellow Eagles teammate made the plunge when wide receiver Donielle Hayes committed to Minnesota.

Among Class of 2023 players, Williams is ranked as the 44th quarterback in the country and the 128th prospect overall in Florida by 247Sports.com. That site, along with Rivals.com, has rated him as a three-star prospect.
