Five New UCLA Football Players Enroll In School

Five new transfers have enrolled this week at UCLA, according to the UCLA Football Twitter account.

Three of them were expected, while two are recent new additions.

As expected, Oregon offensive line transfer Jaylan JeffersRutgers offensive line transfer Raiqwon O’Neal and Harvard defensive line transfer Jacob Sykes are now at UCLA.

The two unexpected additions are Penn receiver transfer Ryan Cragun and USC offensive line transfer Liam Douglass.

O’Neal is expected to plug in to the starting left tackle spot and Sykes should compete for a starting role on the defensive line.

The latter two additions are both Southern California high school products.

Cragun prepped at St. Margaret’s in San Juan Capistrano before going to Penn where he was a two-time All-Ivy League second team selection, catching a combined 93 passes for 1,385 yards and five touchdowns.

Douglass played at USC, signing with the Trojans in 2018 out of Harvard-Westlake in North Hollywood as a scholarship player. He reunites with former USC offensive line coach Tim Drevnowho is now the offensive line coach for the Bruins.

As we understand it, Cragun and Douglass, who are both heading into their final years of eligibility, are both walking on but with opportunities to earn scholarships by the time the season begins.
