AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Women’s Golf standouts Bohyun Park and Sara Koskova were named to the Golfweek All-American squads this week. Park, a freshman, earned second-team accolades, while Kouskova, a senior, was selected to the third-team. It’s the sixth-straight year the Longhorns have had a member of the Golfweek All-America teams and fifth time in-a-row with multiple selections.
Earlier this spring, Park garnered second-team All-America honors from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). Kouskova was an honorable mention of WGCA All-American. She finished her UT career as a two-time All-American having earned a spot on Golfweek’s third-team in 2021 and honorable mention from the WGCA that year as well.
In her collegiate debut, Park appeared in 11 tournaments and posted seven top-20 finishes, six top-15’s, four top-10’s and three top 5’s. The freshman who posted five rounds in the 60s, as well as a team leading 15 rounds at par or better also earned All-Big 12 Tournament honors this season. Park finished runner-up at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in March where she registered a 54-hole score of two-under-par 211 (70-70-71), and was tied for third individually in helping Texas win the Big 12 team title . At the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, Park shot par or better for every single round in that tournament, joining Kouskova as the only other Longhorn to accomplish that feat this season. Park posted her lowest round of 68 four separate times in 2021-22. Her first 68 came during the final round at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, her first-ever collegiate tournament. She would go on to post additional 68s at the opening round at the Windy City Collegiate Classic, the final round at the Stanford Intercollegiate and most recently during the second round at the NCAA Championship. The college rookie averaged 72.65 strokes per round and finished the year with a No. 25 national rating on Golfstat.
Kouskova appeared 11 times this season and posted eight finishes in the top-20, seven top-15’s, four top-10’s and two top-five’s as an individual. She also earned Big 12 All-Tournament honors for the second time in her career, sixth finishing individually and helping to lead Texas to the Big 12 team title. In 2021-22, she had five rounds in the 60s and 12 rounds at par or better. Koskova tied sophomore Bentley Cotton for the lowest of the season for the Longhorns at five-under-par 66. That came during her incredible runner-up performance at the Stanford Intercollegiate where she finished with a 54-hole score of 12-under-par 201 (68- 67-66) and was the only Longhorn to shoot in the 60s in every round of tournament on the season. The 66 is tied for eight all-time in program history for an individual 18-hole score, while the five-under-par mark for that round is tied for 18th in the record books for an individual 18-hole score relative to par. The senior also finished her collegiate career with the second-lowest individual 54-hole score in UT history at 201. Kouskova’s other top-five placement came at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate where she finished fifth with a 54-hole score of even-par 213 (72-69-72). The senior averaged 73.24 strokes per round and finished the year with the No. 19 national rating on Golfstat.
Texas concluded its 2021-22 season finishing tied for the 13th at the NCAA Championships. It was the Longhorns fifth-straight top-15 showing at the NCAAs and was part of a highly successful season that saw UT win the Big 12 title for the fourth time in the five championships and advance to the NCAA Championships for the sixth consecutive year.
