The draw has been kind to MISCHIEF STAR and he looks to have a good chance of gaining his fourth win in claiming races this term. Plankton has some sort of chance in a race lacking depth, but the selection’s stablemate Sister Lola may pose a greater threat.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

A case can be made for several of these. No Patience is in fine fettle and is likely to be right there after a good run at Galway. Cleveleys has run well on several occasions this season including over C&D albeit not winning, while Nyla Rua has bounced back from a layoff with two good showings. Sondheim won in game fashion at Cork, while handicap debutant Uisce is interesting. But the selection is the consistent ROYAL TRIBUTE. He got off the mark over C&D in good fashion in June and is in cracking form this term.

Question marks against most of these but ENTROPY (nap) looked a nice handicap prospect earlier in the campaign and is worth another chance after disappointing over C&D last time. The top weight Tauran Shaman, very capable on his day, could be his biggest danger.

This looks tight on paper, with six of the nine runners rated between 106 in the case of the three-year-old Duke De Sessa and 109 in respect of the penalized Layfayette. The 107-rated BEAMISH has coped with all three tasks seen so far and may extend his unbeaten sequence, possibly at the main expense of Joseph O’Brien’s new recruit Cleveland.

Hopefully MIDDLE MARCH will consent to load, unlike at the Curragh last time, because he seemed the type who would improve a lot when making late gains on debut at Gowran Park back in May. Roman Bull and Chilled Out have solid form and should be there while Princess Wannabe is the most interesting newcomer.

Gavin Cromwell’s recent recruit SUPPOSED TOBE may find the improvement needed from a fourth placing at Navan on his stable debut. A likely danger is Reverberation, whose two most recent runs suggest the possibility of an imminent end to a long losing run. Oneiroi is respected as a C&D winner. Despite being drawn high, Sovereignty and Cleopatra’s Needle make some appeal at likely decent odds.

It may be worth taking a chance with the lightly-raced filly SOILING who has a tongue-tie fitted for her handicap debut. The progressive Smaoineamh Sile has good prospects of defying a 17lb rise in the ratings, and the form of the first of her two course wins brings Innamorare into the picture. Stormy Jenn and Shining Aitch have a chance on recent third placings at Naas and Navan respectively.

Despite a disappointing run at Galway, NO THANKS gets the vote because he’s a hardy and capable stayer on his day and his reappearance run at Killarney was encouraging. Rich Belief and Derrinlaur have good claims on the book and Takarengo may have been sweetened up by his recent charity race success.
