Judoka Tulika Maan (silver in women’s +78 kg) and squash legend Saurav Ghosal (bronze in men’s singles) were two of the five Indian medallists on day 6 of the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. India ended the day as the seventh-ranked team in the medal tally, with five gold, six silver and seven bronze. Women’s cricket made the semis with a 100-run win over Barbados. India para-sports athletes have however failed to make an mark.
