Women’s Ice Hockey Announces 2022-23 Schedule


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With just 75 days left until the first puck drop of the 2022-23 season, the Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women’s Ice Hockey Katey Stone, has announced the team’s upcoming schedule. The team will play 29 contests this season, including 13 games in front of its home fans at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.

The Crimson will begin the season with a four-game homestand – it’s longest of the 2022-23 campaign – starting on October 15 vs. Quinnipiac before welcoming Dartmouth (Oct. 21), Yale (Oct. 28) and Brown (Oct. 29) to Cambridge.

Harvard’s first road trip of the season will be up to upstate New York where they will battle Union and RPI (Nov. 4-5) before returning to Massachusetts to take on Colgate and Cornell on its home-ice (Nov. 11-12) .

Stone and her squad will pause from ECAC action when they travel out west to Minnesota for an NCAA Tournament rematch with the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The Bulldogs and the Crimson will collide in a two-game series Nov. 18-19. Nonconference play continues with tilts against Hockey East rivals, Boston College (Nov. 22) and New Hampshire (Nov. 26). The Crimson are slated to travel to the Eagles and host the Wildcats.

Harvard will wrap up the first half of the season at Clarkson and St. Lawrence (Dec. 2-3) before pausing for finals and the holiday break.

The second semester schedule will begin with a road trip to Quinnipiac and Princeton (Jan. 6-7) before hosting St. Lawrence on Tuesday, January 10, for Community Day at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.

After a quick trip to Hanover to take on the Dartmouth Big Green (Jan. 13), Harvard will travel to take on Sacred Heart (Jan. 15) in their brand new rink. The Crimson play host to RPI (Jan. 20) and Union (Jan. 21) during a weekend homestand in Cambridge before returning to upstate New York to battle Cornell and Colgate (Jan. 27-28).

The 2022 Women’s Beanpot will begin on Tuesday, February 7 when the Crimson travel to Boston College to take on the Eagles in the first round of the tournament. The second round of the four-school playoff will take place on Tuesday, February 14.

The Crimson’s regular season will conclude with contests versus Clarkson (Feb. 10) and at Brown and Yale (Feb. 17-18). The ECAC Playoffs will begin with the best-of-three quarterfinal round series (Feb. 24-26) before moving on to a single elimination format during the semifinal (March 5) and championship rounds (March 6).
