Boxing: ‘Troll’ travels 200 miles to fight world champion Sunny Edwards

Sunny Edwards dished out some punishment to a ‘Twitter troll’ who traveled 200 miles to confront the world champion boxer.

Per The MirrorTwitter user Fab Tanga forked out a cool Β£110 to travel from London to Sheffield on the train on Saturday.

He then posted a photo of himself outside the unbeaten fighter’s gym. After hearing the guy had actually shown up, Edwards drove to the gym with his two young children in the car.

Fab tweeted at 11am on Saturday: β€œA very strange sensation, I am paying 110 pounds to be punched on my face by the world boxing champion @SunnyEdwards. SPARTACUS BROKE THE CHAIN ,I AM COMING CHAMP, I WILL SHOCK THE WORLD πŸ™‚ @EddieTheEagle Eddieeee your Eagle today will fly high in the sky! God save the Queen.”

One day earlier, he tweeted: β€œI promise @SunnyEdwards I promise on my life that if you are not going to answer, Tomorrow morning I will in front of your gym between 11 and 12 am. If you let me spend the money I use for eat and you will not be there, I will walk for all Sheffield screaming that you are a coward.”

Edwards then uploaded a video of himself on his way to the gym. In the video, the 26-year-old said: “I’m on the way right now, don’t go anywhere you little f***ing helmet.”

Fab was man enough to get into the ring but ended up receiving a beating from the flyweight, who toyed with the poor bloke.

talkSPORT’s Michael Benson posted a clip of the fight, which you can view here:

What on earth possessed the guy to a) turn up and b) get in the ring? He clearly had little to no boxing experience. It was only ever going to end badly as a result.

The fight continued into the second round but was left on his knees hanging through the ropes, utterly exhausted and appearing to spit blood, by the end of it.

The full fight has been posted to YouTube by iFL TV:

What happened after the fight?

Fortunately, though, the story seems to have had something of a happy ending.

Edwards and Fab posed for a photo together after the fight:

Edwards tweeted: “In all seriousness respect to @Ft90734510 for traveling 4 hours on train from London to Sheffield, on his own back & dragging me off the sofa for a couple rounds sparring.”
