WT volleyball adds two players ahead of the 2022 season

The West Texas A&M volleyball team added two new names to the roster ahead of the 2022 season.

Zahira Parker and Carly Evetts have joined the Lady Buffs volleyball team just in time for the start of the upcoming season. Parker is a transfer from Gonzaga, while Evetts transfers in from the Academy of Art in California.

It’s a homecoming for Evetts as she’s a native of Canyon and prepared at Canyon High School. She also had a stop at Odessa College prior to heading to California. She was named second team All-PacWest after playing in all 113 sets for the Urban Knights. Evetts led the team with 2.51 kills and .59 blocks per set.

Parker originally hails from Austin and makes the transition to WT as a freshman. She finished her high school career with 138 assists and 111 digs.
