Featuring six shows over Friday and Saturday, Busk on the Block artistic director Jason Henderson said more than 3,000 people came out to see shows ranging from juggling to circus acts and acrobatics.

“People are loving it,” Henderson said. “The performers love these crowds, they’re really happy and generous crowds. It’s great.”

With performers from Windsor to as far away as New York and California, Henderson said organizers hoped to bring a variety of acts attendees may not have seen before. The event started in 2016 and eventually moved to its current home on Argyle Road at Wyandotte Street.

Crowds certainly came out to show their support, despite the intense heat that prompted an Environment Canada warning for the region over the weekend.

“It would be nicer if it was a little cooler,” Henderson said. “We’re very happy with how it went this year.

“I want to keep this event going, making it bigger and better every year. Hopefully we can keep doing that.”
