Horse Racing Tips Monday 8th August 2022 best bets and most tipped horses

Five race meetings will take place on Monday with the action all kicking off at Kempton Park at 13:00, while there is alternative afternoon racing at Wolverhampton. A trio of fixtures will light up this evening and Windsor is the first to get under way at 16:35, while the alternative racing this evening comes from Ballinrobe and Ripon. We preview all the action here and pick out some of the best bets from a host of racing writers here…

Michael Bell’s King Eagle is yet to record a victory after three starts, but will embark on a handicapping career on Monday evening and the son of Frankel will attempt to break his duck in Ripon’s 19:45 event. Last seen finishing fifth at Chelmsford City, the three-year-old has been handed a mark of 76 for today’s event, and four of our tipsters including Marlborough from the Daily Telegraph and Ben Morgan from Racing Ahead have put up the 5/2 shot as their best bet of the day.

Another thrice-raced maiden running in handicap company today is the James Fanshawe-trained Citrus Grove, who is an eye-catching 4/1 chance for the 15:45 at Wolverhampton, and the Oasis Dream filly is looking to build on a third placed finish at Lingfield Park. Robin Goodfellow from The Daily Mail and Moorestyle from the Daily Star Sunday have nabbed Citrus Grove to grab her first victory, and she is the second most popular selection lining up on Monday.

Three of our racing tipsters managed to notch up back-to-back winning naps over the weekend and the first of them Glendale from The Scotsman has napped the 10/11 shot One World in the 15:00 at Kempton, while Mercury of the Daily Post has napped the 15/8 chance Stunt Game in the 18:45 at Ripon. The final hat-trick-seeking tipster is Lambourn from the Racing Post and that form judge heads to Wolverhampton’s 14:45 event and has napped the 7/4 chance Mutanywho lines up for the Charlie Hills and Jim Crowley.

With a profit of £48.61, Expert Eye is sitting at the summit of the naps table and the top-class tipster will look to extend the lead at the top of the table and has opted to side with the 5/2 Yagan, who goes for gold in the 16:00 at Kempton Park. Sir Mark Prescott’s four-year-old returned from a lengthy absence at Wolverhampton last month, and is sure to come on significantly for the run, and the son of Australia appears to have a great chance of returning to winning ways in a winnable contest.

The Spotlight Tip of the day is the Dominic Ffrench Davis-trained Darcy’s Rockwho is a 2/1 chance for the 16:15 at Wolverhampton, and the three-year-old put up a career best last time out when winning at Chepstow, and the daughter of Heeraat will look to follow that up again today when she moves to the all-weather.

Some punters will be looking for some bigger priced contenders on Monday to try and kick-start the week on a winning note and two eye-catching big-priced runners are the 11/1 chance Secret To Success, who is an 11/1 chance for the 15:15 at Wolverhampton and is the best bet of the Farringdon from the Morning Star, and the 10/1 shot Crema Inglesawho is the best bet of Sirius from The Sun On Sunday, runs in the 15:30 at Kempton.
