Vanderbilt freshman All-American Carter Holton to host Baseball Clinic at Benedictine


Former Benedictine Military School baseball standout Carter Holton is hosting a one-night clinic this Friday night. Holton, who just completed a successful freshman season at Vanderbilt, will join Benedictine baseball coaches and players for the clinic open to rising 3rd-8th graders. clinic will focus on arm care, pitching, off season training, hitting, and fielding. As a member of the Commodores starting rotation, Holton would post an 8-4 record with a 3.14 ERA. He would strike out 97 batters in nearly 81 innings of work. This summer he was a member of the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Holton and Team USA would earn a bronze medal in the Honkbalweek Haarlem Tournament in the Netherlands competing against teams from Cuba, Italy, the Netherlands, Curacao and Japan.
