DENTON — Ciara Redden put down nine kills as the Pottsboro Lady Cardinals earned third place at the Denton Calvary Tournament with a 26-24, 25-23 victory over Rockwall Heritage.

SG Lipscomb added five kills, Jordyn Hampton chipped in nine assists and four kills, Palyn Reid handed out 11 assists and Maddie Skipworth collected nine digs for Pottsboro (5-1), which hosts Community on Tuesday night.

The Lady Cardinals suffered a 19-25, 25-16, 13-15 loss against Red River in the semifinals. Hampton totaled seven assists and five kills, Redden also finished with five kills, Tessa DelaCruz chipped in five blocks and Reid added five assists and four kills.

Pottsboro opened bracket play with a 25-16, 25-17 win over Tom Bean. Redden had 10 kills and six digs, Reid added 11 assists and five kills, Hampton handed out nine assists and Ava Sims totaled five blocks.
