SLUKA AND COKER TALK ABOUT GAME-WINNING PLAY

Holy Cross junior quarterback Matthew Sluka and wide receiver Jalen Coker discuss the 46-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass that helped the Crusaders defeat FBS opponent Buffalo on Saturday night. Sluka and Coker talk about the surreal feeling of having friends, family and alumni reach out after the game as the play went viral on social media and was named the Top Play on ESPN’s Sports Center the following day. The duo also talked about the Patriot League’s Maria Trivelpiece about the play in the moment and how many defenders it would take to stop Coker from catching a game-winning touchdown pass.

NCAA.COM’S WEEK 3 FCS QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

NCAA.com’s Stan Becton unveiled his weekly FCS quarterback rankings, placing Fordham graduate student QB Tim DeMorat second behind UIW’s Lindsey Scott Jr. DeMorat, who leads the FCS in passing yards (838) and passing touchdowns (11), is recognized for his “clutch performance” in the Rams’ 52-49 win against Monmouth. Holy Cross’s Sluka moves up eight spots to No. 4 in this week’s rankings after accounting for 384 yards and three touchdowns to help the Crusaders defeat Buffalo for their second FBS win in two seasons.
