IND vs AUS: Most of the fans couldn’t get over with Arshdeep Singh dropping a sitter against Pakistan in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022.
The youngster had a chance to take an easy catch to dismiss Asif Ali but dropped it in the first place during a pressure situation. This made many things easier for Pakistan in the run-chase.
The Green Shirts literally found a way to come out on top much to India’s annoyance. Pakistan beat India by 5 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Arshdeep Singh’s childhood coach added that the paceman didn’t sleep that night as he felt heartbroken for dropping the catch. However, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others came to the youngster’s defence.
The left-arm paceman showed great temperament in the death overs. He showcased tremendous maturity with the ball by keeping the opposition silent.
A player like him would turn out to be a massive asset to Team India in the years to come. He is not part of the upcoming three-match T20I series against Australia.

IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma praises Arshdeep Singh’s bowling skills
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma addressed the reporters at the pre-match press conference before the three-match T20I series against Australia.
The Indian captain reserved the highest respect for Arshdeep Singh for his bowling skills. Rohit Sharma was thoroughly impressed with the way Arshdeep Singh bowled so far.
The manner in which he pitched yorkers, especially in pressure situations and that too in the first year of international cricket hasn’t been that easy.
“The way Arshdeep bowled was very impressive. The way he landed yorkers under extreme pressure in his first year of international cricket, is not easy,” Rohit added.
“He is a very smart guy and keeps things simple. We needed a left-arm seamer and he has done well in IPL and then he came here (into the India team) and has done well. We always wanted variety in our attack and we have that now,” the skipper added.
Team India will take on Australia in the T20I opener on September 20, Tuesday. The game will kick off at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali.
